Well the final long race of the year was on Saturday. 2082 birds were sent to Tibooburra, which is way up in the middle of the country somewhere.
My mate David sent 6 including 2 of mine.
Wasn't a good race, only one pigeon was home on the day right on dark flying about 600 miles.
There were some home on the Sunday but plenty missing. Then on Monday it poured with rain all day and hardly any arrived.
So I was very pleased when David sent me the picture of his clock, my grizzle youngster 194 had arrived at 9.50.48 yesterday. 525 miles.
As I said its half Jos Thone' and half Heremans / Van den Bulck on both sides so it isn't bred to stay. And it's only 8 1/2 months old.
It had already won a race so it's done well.
