Thanks Andy, I am really grateful for that advice. It's great to have that feedback from someone so experienced. So that's one major change I can easily make for next year.
Have you won at the distance with cocks in any nest condition.....?
I have just looked at the result hoping that it would show the sex of the 70 odd birds that have been clocked but unfortunately it doesn't.
Bicc Pau International.
Hi Dave. I have only ever really raced my cocks on Widowhood and only as far as 350 miles. My distance birds and winners have been hens raced natural. I have raced the odd cocks in the nationals in the past but again on natural.Diamond Dave wrote: Mon Jun 22, 2026 7:48 am Thanks Andy, I am really grateful for that advice. Thanks Buster - I thought that they would all be dead so given ma a bit of hope that I might get another one now.
Well done Dave. The weather has been terrible for any birds racing any sort of distance over the past week. Your bird done well to keep going.
The CSCFC were at Pau this past weekend. Liberated at 6.30am Friday. By last night only 10 birds had made it home from the 213 entered.

Only 10 birds REPORTED as making it home, I am sure there is more than that. As Dave said he has 2 in his race, that aren't reported as home.Andy wrote: Mon Jun 29, 2026 7:54 am Well done Dave. Different race Albert. Dave was the Pau international. The one I’m talking about is last weekends CSCFC. Only 13 birds in race time in the end.Albert wrote: Tue Jun 30, 2026 9:15 amOnly 10 birds REPORTED as making it home, I am sure there is more than that.
