If it doesn’t
And then the virkon doesn’t

I will get a test for it see what they give me

If that doesn’t work I will have to cull everyone that winks at me unfortunately
Neil was troubled with sore eyes , fat eyes
Tried everything to clear it up , it would go away then reappear in another section
They only thing that worked and I haven’t seen it since using was #3 Resp.Guard and Stress Reducer from Colin Leask
I have to say I was sceptical to say the least
It was the last thing I tried but the first thing to work
Haven’t had any problems since , and birds look a treat 👌

Donal if it could be mycoplasma he said no it’s not after looking at the video and photo I sent him he said it’s just a viruis
I mentioned the above and should I use them again he said not at this stage
So I was thinking about far eye and not having it this year then thought I didn’t have it the year before either when many did .I remembered when I did as Dave mention on the topic I used Golden eye drops
So any pigeon I see that looked like they had the eye problem these last 4 nights I put the golden eye on I put it on 11 birds first night then 8 and then last night I stood in there and could only find 5 doing it
Donal advice was to leave it 10 days as the test showed there wasn’t a serious problem
So although I have my Doxy T and virkon at the ready he could well be right if not I will definitely be using the products , normally they have a week of doxy T before racing anyway so I can bring that forward but I just want to see if it goes on it’s own for future reference first then I will treat blind as normal with the doxy just to be safe
I put Virkon the bath yesterday as that can’t hurt ,so see how we get on these next few days
The guy at poultry health did say it’s not mycoplasma just going on the symptoms without videos so that two vets thinking the same thing

It still seems odd why they have it when I haven’t mixed them with any pigeons apart from the late breds I was given that were here in July and trained into October before I moved them across for winter maybe 8 weeks ago
Donal Berry don't know a thing about pigeons the man is a business man that set up a testing centre and then uses the facilities of a race horse testing centre ,,
I have nothing against donal but my pal as cross question him and the man don't have a clue .

2 questions Neil
Did you weigh ya medicine
Did you allow on dosage for winter because there drink 20ml less this time of Yr
Medicine is gauged at 50ml per pigeon so birds now drinking 30ml aday won't get correct dose say its 1gm per litre now you need 1.8gm per litre to get correct dose and in summer when there drinking 70ml each you use 0.8gm per litre .

I got the feeling poultry health are umbrella company with a data base of vets that may not be employed directly otherwise why didn’t the bloke know they sold testing kits for pigeons

Do you have a 3rd option in the uk Anthony
My pal uses i think EVL European veterinary laboratory he uses them through the 2 girls that use to work for Lee fribbins the man in Europe that tests is a pigeon man .

Donal does race pigeons Anthony. How successful he is I don't know but he definitely does race. I've used him for a good number of years now. On some things I have my doubts on others he's helped me a lot. One thing I will give him credit for is he's always available you can contact him any day and just about any time of the day. He's rang me numerous times from abroad as well. He doesn't have to do that I've always found him a sound guy if I've not always agreed with what he has said.
