I just think to grow the forum we are missing out here.

It’s not just members that are needed it’s contributors, out of the 150 members how many actually contribute, 10, 12? And of those how many post regularly? Single figures I reckon I don’t think it’ll make a blind bit of difference if you had to be a member to view

We had a 'new' member join late last night, and his first 7 posts were ads. See he and ads were removed.

I think by closing the site to the public and people having to join to view would make people viewing a topic more likely on the spur of the moment to reply once they have done that then they will be part of the subject and possibly reply again
Currently they might think I can’t be arsed to go through the joining and waiting for approval so by then they have lost the Initial interest to reply

If you got 3/4 by trying it its better than sat doing nothing
Like you say only about 12 post currently regularly
I know in the past there was less at times nothing for days pretty much

Be nice if we could get 20-25 posting
I agree with your reply Neil, I just think it needs looking at, definitely missing a trick & possibly new members.

Two sides some look in and decide to join others just sit by the side watching for whatever reasons

To many scammers are getting through Chris must have changed things

read the post's and im as bad as most ... for what its worth i look in most days but don't sign in...cause its to easy to sit back and no get involved

love reading neil's posts.. mike's post's ant's post's....so whats needed....questions put forward maybe... as you would to a panel on a moot...
