I think there all different Neil I had a hen done nothing 6 weeks I killed a hen n this hen took the cock the one I killed was paired two ,,then this hen went 3rd fed beat by 2 team mate 3 weeks on trot pal.
See I don't like 2 n 3yr old cocks in with yearlings I find yearlings race better as a team all being yearlings.

Think in florida the celibate but on a mid week race they are left together in loft after race to play and again on weekend race but there rd trained separately and loft flown separately they only have small box perches made from 4x1 timber hens sit on a 4x1 inch saddle type perch.

That’s interesting so like a longer trainer Wednesday split after a hour then Saturday they could be together longer
Kind of like that chaos system
No breeding boxes in loft
Gallo lofts u see this he's top loft in florida from 100 to 500 miles .

Seen it or similar just now on feathers I’m not 100 per cent sure on it looks a bit to slack plus pigeons hearing each other
Probably just me set in my ways
Lot to
Think I prefer the cock claiming a box or set perch I think
Iv seen it but there's no where in uk with competition like them ,,they seem to laugh at systems like widowhood, but unless a good uk flyer moved there were never know.

Think gallo lofts trains hard n will understand feeding I'm sure he was brilliant at rooster fighting before pigeon racing and Tony mulluci treated him like a son ,,randal burky was one caught my eye 22 birds 20 landed on a single ets pad he's old now but I check results he still flying well now the result I checked earlier 1ypm and first 7 places were gone .
I know exactly what your saying about the old time flyers but we won't ever know .
