China working on rfid chips in life rings

China fancier showed me a test faze life ring this morning with built in rfid chip and I think it's the future! also digital pedigree system will run along side it definitely would make life easier company was geshifeng fci approved manufacturers so fingers crossed we see it in the market soon

It was only a matter of time, before much data being held on the life rings. And it was China that would lead the way. it looks like a good project. Thanks for sharing Danny.

@devo yes definitely some good innovation coming from China over the next few years within the sport! it certainly makes more sense than separate rings and way more secure with pedigrees if they can link the dna info on them also it will be amazing

It has to be based on Trust, what would happen if the ring was removed and put on another bird?

How does it make life easier? Doe's it prove the pedigree is actually correct? I hope the FCI doesn't approve this rubbish. Pigeon racing is about racing the birds not selling them?

Well I hope it goes ahead, it would be good if you can scan the ring with your phone. Then you can download all the information, about the bird on your phone.
