I had this idea a few months back but unfortunatelly due to certain reasons it never happened. But i will just pitch the idea here

I got a camera outside my loft facing towards my traps. I could theoratically start up a stream on race day and livestream the arrival of my birds. I would give notice on here every week what day will be raced and post a link in here once the stream is up probaly 1-2 hours before arrival depending on how well i manage to do everything. Just a general idea i had a while ago. The stream wouldnt have any sound or anything special to see besides me or my family if we enter the loft and the birds comming home we can also chat live over the youtube chat section for those who have an account there which probaly most people have nowdays.

if a few people like the idea we could try it out first time this saturday !!

Great idea mate.
There are a few people who set this up on YouTube what I follow live each Saturday or Sunday depending on the race day.
They even do a live on getting the birds ready for the race, taking them to book in and then the live for the birds coming home it's really good to see the birds trap and see your results later in the day.

I will give it a test run today just to check out if everything works as intended and i could start it as soon as tomorrow. We have a 170~ miles old+YL race with tough conditions that all depends on if i get everything sorted today but i will keep everyone in the loop in the next hours if its gonna start tomorrow or next week.

The current racing plan is
5 more races old+YL usually every sunday but this one got moved forward 1 day and moved to 160 miles the last 4 races should be 280-320 miles

And Yb season should start 1st of august and should be 6 races every saturday but usually we dont follow plan anyways so will have to see.

Everything is set up. seems like we can start tomorrow. But just got another message the distance got reduced even further because of the weather from 160 miles to 120 miles.

Basketing is done for today. Tomorrow release at bad breisig about 125 miles to my loft. I expect an early release due to the weather probaly around 7am~ and i expect them to fly about 2 - 2 1/2 hours. i will write in this topic as soon as i get the stream going probaly shortly after they release them. Currently trying to see if i can get some sort of live ticker of the flight or atleast a live ticker of my birds that get trapped which could be possible due to our clock system but thats still a work in progress theres a chance that this is a topic for next week but im trying to get it to work the chat is also not working right now so im trying to also fix that
