It's not called "the dog leg" for nothing.

Good race though if you're up for it.
Could you elaborate? I wouldn't have e a clue on how to call it! 🤣

Like Neil says, with Truro being well down in Cornwall those lofts in the East of the radius for the race will gain alot of mileage on all lofts to the west of them, and it becomes a double edged sword if the birds are liberated in a westerly wind, the wind will push them out of the dog leg and when they realign for home they will probably be east of their normal line?
If the wind is East, then it's a different ball game completely, it could then be a difficult race for all.
Whatever, hope they have a great turnout and race, nice to have races like this, virtually a combined race.
Good luck

North rd here ya mapped wrong every race ,,if tides out they cross wash if not they might clip the corner since the turbines are in wash the Norwich birds cross better now but before they would fly 40 plus dead miles going around wash ,,
North rd here isn't 100 percent fair racing against birds that don't have to cross water ,,
In two North Norfolk if they cross or dog leg there flying similar to each other but if they was racing against Lincolnshire there be 400ypm behind Lincolnshire.

Sounds good but coming out over Bodmin moor, Yelverton then having to negotiate the Mendip Hills going to be tough.

Forgot to mention they also won't come up past Cheddar Gorge if they track up on the west side, so a combination of the Gorge & Mendip Hills is a big ask, I suspect they will track East to avoid both jmo.
