Widowhood vs Dry vs Celibate

Talk about anything racing pigeon related here aslong as there isnt a section for it.

Can I ask how long has widowhood been around, & what techniques did fancier's use before this came into play was it all natural .

If you could only fly one system with a limited amount of birds what would it be Neil?

Not sure I can answer as the hens have done well
I had really good years with my cocks and I guess that’s my safer answer
But the hens have flown well this year that might be as celibacy or semi celibacy suits them more which I think it does
Next year I’m going to do it so they rear or sit eggs out i think the cocks will be better then after that I won’t show them to they lose form ,this is so easy for me although I need to improve the cocks

I really would have 2 sets of hens pair and the cocks to stay at homes and race the hens celibacy if I wanted to do it correctly
Sounds a nice system hens do seem so much more resilient. You must keep us informed how it goes.

Think that’s the safe route
Hopefully I will get a nice fly tomorrow then run then to early evening
Rest to Monday night then out Tuesday Wednesday and back early Thursday morning to Arbroath

No training I’m not risking it after what happened Dunbar week
I’ve read in some of the continental mags that several fancier have what they call a family day mid week where they let them together for a day. Guess it depends how brave you are.
