Iv bigger team than I would like this season so having a small yb team and I will be culling Sunday after 3rd race Sunday after 6th race Sunday after 9th race and Sunday after last ob race ,,baby's will get a programme and mnfc race and again selected but not as harsh as ob but the best baby's out 3 longest race and last 3 races will take preference over good baby's in first few races .

I was at nrcc in 2022 for perth Neil forecast nn west wind ,,Steve Surrey said not a bad wind for lads here ,,Terry Winterton a North rd legend just turned n said no good here won't touch Norwich or lads over there ,Steve said really he said you see Saturday,,old Terry was 110 percent correct that man knows he's stuff ,Norwich North Norfolk was over 100 ypm in front of top flyers this side ,and when you looked at wind it was say 10mph down coast but 15 to 20mph out at sea then I didn't realise until my pal who flys small planes said on land there's thermals you get chucked all over place he said flying above water is like flying in silk its so smooth ,
Food for thought pal.

I say so Neil,,in this area the realistic chance at nrcc is Fraserburgh thurso Lerwick if you have right birds .

Moving forwards you're concentrating on the NRCC races

30 birds is plenty for you to be a force (at least at Section level) in the NRCC. You just have to wait for the Open Gods to be smiling on your Section

I've seen so many lofts in the past that have been a real threat with a small team, then they've increased their numbers and the threat isn't there any more. They lost the attention to detail and control that made them a threat before. A small team in the hands of a good pigeon man can be a genuine force at any level

Only thing I think with nrcc
It’s Thurso and Lerwick or could be won
I think it’s really hard from Dunbar or Perth to beat the lofts 100 miles up the road
When I look at the membership location or bulk of members it seems like a upturned funnel very different different to say the NFC with members all along the south coast
These pretty much are on the east coast at Boston in a west wind or the east of Nottinghamshire on a east
Then breaking east to Norfolk or west to members in west Hertfordshire with Essex London Suffolk inbetween
Steve will probably enlighten us more
With his knowledge
Not sure I’ve any answers Neil, NRCC racing is the same as racing in any well spread out organisation the wind will rule the day. I think 2023 both Perth and Fraserburgh the wind was NE think I was about 4th Fed Perth 2nd Fed Fraserburgh and stone last NRCC🤣. Can the shorter races be won your way I’d say yes it’s possible but you’d need a day where a helping wind picks up later in the race. The other thing I’d say when I do the clocking sheets every race there are birds clocked that don’t win it but have out up some terrific performances given the location.
