I remember Ted off chat
He was a nice man we spoke on the phone a few times only kept a few cocks I believe
Ya best small team player iv ever met or known pal ,,he taught me how to race cocks but I just love hens so awkward for me ,but Ted was unreal m8 over 30 plus first opens when it was whole of Kent flying to worse position in fed n bk then 2000 to 4000 birds
Ted's type of fella that will cull n eliminate to the finest details but Jesus him in he's prime would send 8 cocks n get 4 or 5 together to top fed against drag n wind man is a legend locally.

From memory I think he said he didn’t often race his young cocks
No hardly ever raced em pal ,but he would put them on a Monday training wagon few times 600 birds coming in two area n put then on midweek couple times normally in late May early June before all the yb sickness n he would train them 20 miles any direction he fetch them out as yearlings n thrash everyone pal ,,man as a way with widowhood cocks they would fly through you on Saturday if u stood in door way.

One thing I don't like about de Meyer if you don't get them on day of liberation not many work in afterwards I know when there missing at dark it's normally curtains for them ,,the lambrecht laereman blood gets up early again next morning n trys getting home I think the de Meyer fly there self to complete death ,,in one way u know they give everything in another way bloody hurts when ya missing a good one.
