What are ppls thoughts on having an executive committee to run the fed. Ie a group of 4 or so members to make all the decisions with no input from any individual members?
Totally against. The members should decide and sent delegate from each club. Feds should provide what the MEMBERS want not what 4 individuals want.Diamond Dave wrote: Mon Nov 17, 2025 2:04 pm What are ppls thoughts on having an executive committee to run the fed. it should be the members...who run the clubs/feds....but try getting different ones each year that's the challenge I think you came up against that old brigade last year Dave..

Unfortunately we have all had experience of say a chairman that thinks it's there way, & if they get challenged spit there dummy out.
Should be down & I agree with everything that's been said previously, should be down to the membership.

Hmmm, I am about to join a new club which has an exec com.
Now, I would imagine most ppl on here as being quite vocal and like me, would want to be involved in everything so if I do join, should I be expected to stay 'stum' or is there a way you can be involved?

If the club is affiliated to the RPRA then it is obliged to abide by the rules, if you wish to become involved in the running of the club then put yourself forward for one of the officer positions prescribed by the rules, if not then don’t bother
