I had my loft reports back today, I thought I'd put up what has been reported back to me with a phone call & paperwork received by post.
Light Coccidia Infection.
Mixed bacterial enteritis( E coli Corynebacterium).
Secondary yeast overgrowth.
Worm's negative.
Trichomonas & Salmonella negative.
They've sent out the appropriate meds that have been sensitive tested for the correct medication.
I will start them off tomorrow & hopefully see some improvement, although you look at them they look good, I think it's when I've asked the question & apply some pressure/ turn the screw they are miles off the pace, that's got to be something that I need to be more on top with with health.

Yes Dave, if the birds have sub clinical infections they may look well at home but as you say, stress them and it shows.
You’ve done exactly what you should have, I’m a big believer in Testing and treating if and only if necessary

John Angwin used them last year & again recently, I will follow the guidelines from the report, I can only trust the feedback from them.
I will only find out how well my breeding goes & if I see an elevated response to the meds prescribed .

Hello Bowbroom, the thing is if you haven't got the correct medication that's had a sensitivity culture for the correct appropriate antibiotics/ meds then your not going to help the pigeons only making your situation worse as they won't work.

There's alot of con companies out there lads .
Remember John mccall using 3 companies at same time got 3 different results bk .
One thing for sure I wouldn't test until moult was over ,
Last 3 flights will cause stress each time there being pushed out ,,bit like testing birds on a Sunday after a race all levels be sky high ,,
Birds have all these things inside them u get false results if birds are stressed that's why best two test birds 3 days after a race not following day .

Trust your instincts Neil, I'm not a vet but my gut feeling when I asked for my pigeons to stand up & be counted, not take the easy option & disappear off the radar. I'm more than happy to continue with the feedback from them & the guidance.

Used Donal for a good number of years now, in my opinion the service was better a few years back before he became so popular, every man and his dog uses him now. He has served us well over the years and has been available to talk literally any time and place. I've had conversations with him while he's been in Portugal and Spain to name two. More difficult to get hold of him these last couple of years and to be honest I honestly believe our pigeons went backwards last year after treatment. He has served us well in the past and I hope he does the same for you mate, I'm sure he will. I was all set to use a different company this coming season, the one Anthony has mentioned a couple of times but just noticed Neil said he wasn't happy with the service last year so that's got me thinking.
