Forum update..........

Im going to post this with a heavy heart,

6-7 of the people i consided friends have decided to leave the forum for good and have deleted there posts and accounts.
I understand some people seem to not see eye to eye and some feel attacked.
im not happy with the way they have gone or how it has been handled by them and by members on this site. ( including me )

im not taken sides im not removing anyone from the forum either.

so from this day on i shall try to check in on a more and keep an eye on posts and in the manor they come across.

im not looking to get into politics about whats gone on .

This is a simple post to try move forward with the forum again and try to find members to join an post.

as the only way this forum stays open over the next year is if it grows and we get new members on and posting.

Hello Chris, thank you for posting this tonight, I've just come back after a spell out for a few months. Thanks to Andy for seeing common sense in the end & sorting my issues with my account.
I would ask that we try to be more considerate when posting or comments made about other members post that we may not agree with.
Just remember we need to post more & be respectful if we want this site to continue.

Who has left? I was only thinking yesterday that the forum had become interesting and informative again so it seems odd that folks would want to quit when that happens?

From what I can tell, Andy, Murray and Devo have gone, unsure at this moment on who else has gone, but that's unfortunate none the less!

The forum is definitely better with more opinions and voices not less!

I took a little time out from the site as I couldnt be bothered tuning in to that pathetic shite that was going on but found it hard not to tune in. Nonetheless I missed the crux of what went on.
Its a shame if Andy n Dev have gone cos they were both commited to seeing the site do well.
I hope they also find it hard to stay away and decide to come back.

Email from Andy yesterday afternoon, he has decided to leave the forum along with Trev, Devo, George & Murray.

Well that is a shame, and I was trying to contact Murray to say no hard feelings, he obviously got crossed wires regarding my comments. Obviously Murray and Devo are friends and left together not sure about the others but these friendships form cliques on forums I’ve seen it time and time again and what happens is new members get put off or left to feel stupid by a group who laugh at the most basic questions etc, not saying that’s the case on here just a common occurrence over the years of forums. Without new members a forum remains stagnant and less questions get asked and less interaction, since the incident the other day seems to be as busy as it has been in the 5 minutes I’ve been on as Murray put it . Hope someone’s got contact details for the people who have left and can get them back as no doubt a lot of knowledge has gone also friendships as I’ve got some great friends all over the country from forums we still meet up 4/5 times a year and have for the last 12/15 years.

Not getting into anything just pointing out in my opinion all the ones that have left were friends friendships that have been built over a number of years not a ''click'' as folks think, may seem that way but I honestly do not believe it to be true, I left myself some time ago due to all the shit that was going on no other reason
