Thank you Devo.

Yes I am enthusiastic about the Jos Thone' pigeons.
Thone' crossed speed pigeons into his distance pigeons. Obviously he ended up with plenty that could neither sprint or stay, but there were those that could sprint a long way. By carefully selecting and testing the Thone' pigeons are outstanding. Birds that can fly at high speed all day long.
I have 4 Thone' cocks, the grizzle cock is a terrific individual, and crossed with the Billion Dollar Baby, ( Heremans, V d Bulck, Kittel, Pitbull etc) is leaving super youngsters.
They seem to me to be pigeons which can improve any loft of pigeons.
Greetings from the land down under. :D

Its the Grizzles that our club Secretary has, he brought them in last year from someone up North. They've been coming well for him, it will be interesting to see how they perform today.

Were the Reds you got from Magic a few years back Jos Thones Andy ??

My Grizzle Thone' is paired to the B$B who is a bit of this and that. She's sort of half Heremans, a bit of Van Den Bulcks' Kittel, and a bit of Rudy Van Reeth's Pitbull.
Pitbull was a a grizzle, so the grizzle gene is coming through from both parents. The youngsters are strong grizzle colour, and I cannot fault them.
Genetics is so interesting. The Big Grizz is, obviously, a grizzle.
The Billion Baby is a blue bar white flight. Carrying grizzle genes.
Three out of four of their youngsters are grizzles. The other one is always a blue chequer.

It could be the Blue Cheq is the star. I remember dad having some of the original Busschearts back in the 60s early 70s. They were nearly all blues or pencil blues. Occasionally they would breed a light chequer. This one would always be the stand out one.
Back just enjoying club racing for the time being.

It's mostly the Pit Bull lines that Alan Still is winning these sprint races with, a lot of our Federation members have either the Kittel or Pit Bull lines, mostly purchased through Dareen May at the May Breeding Station.
Yesterday's Federation winner was also a Darren May "Pit Bull" cross.
