Racing Friday
We should know later today but it likely that the 3Cs are going to change marking for this weekends Brighton race. Now looking at marking tomorrow evening for a race on Friday. It does mess things up a bit with my widowhoods but great to see the race controller taking such a proactive approach to racing. We have had 3 Sundays and 2 Saturdays so far this season. All good races though.
Back just enjoying club racing for the time being.
Yes, that's what's needed. Someone who will look at the forecast and make a decision.
The yes, no yes, no, and then let at the last minute do the wrong thing, it's hopeless.
In our club we never hesitate to change a race if the weather looks no good.

Generally we had a good race yesterday. Returns on the whole were good. I did have a frustrating day myself due to the work being done on the house next to the loft. Never mind, on to next week.

Good to hear the race went ok on the whole Andy, sorry you had a bit of a mare with the birds coming down and trapping bruv, and the one not registering on the pad

The main thing is that your birds are starting to get used to the new system, so hopefully this will only get better in time.
Here is one from today and they wonder why there are losses
North Liverpool fed at Wincanton.
Birds were liberated at 9-30 Didnt want to clear and about 300 still flying around at 10-20 doing a low sweep of the Three borders federation truck dont think they will be going home

Sadies Lofts home of decent birds just a useless loft manager, and now a confirmed loser but proud

We are very near to Wincanton race course where the birds would have been liberated, just over the hill from us in Wincanton High Street, no more than half a mile. Roxanna came down into the shop at 9.55 and said there were hundreds of pigeons flying around. They just didn’t have a clue where they were supposed to be going. At that time we had heavy cloud cover although dry. It wasn’t until mid afternoon that the cloud broke a bit. Hope they got home. In my opinion the weather was nowhere near good enough for a liberation.Buster121 wrote: ↑Sat May 24, 2025 7:48 pm Here is one from today and they wonder why there are losses

There were liberations from there yesterday and they went well.
