Peas / maize

Anyone prefer a certain pea or maize
I know some don’t like blue or green peas but prefer maples other don’t seem to like maples
Same as maize i remember Anthony Webster telling me to avoid popcorn maize as it takes coming to get into the pigeons as it takes ages to break down

NZ Maples were very popular in the 70s & 80s and were of very good quality. Todays Maples are nothing like them. I know many fanciers who say with some mixtures the Maples are often left or eaten last. If I were buying in peas I'd go for white, blue or green peas. I'd not buy Maples straight again, I'd rather feed beans.

It’s getting hard here to get straight beans King my local farm where I used to get them at £8-10 25kg have stopped growing them so I will have to buy Bamfords that don’t look half as good
No other option

Yeah the York/Leeds lads used to buy from a bloke at Harewood for years. When the old bloke died, his daughter had the entire farm up for auction the following week!. Many use a farm near Doncaster now.
