Always used the same farm widowhood mix all year nothing else apart from grit and minerals, nothing in water
Sadies Lofts home of decent birds just a useless loft manager, and now a confirmed loser but proud :D :D

I call it broth as it looks like the stew and soup packs you can buy although they have barley in that it’s all very easy to digest protein much better than a pea or bean that’s going to sit in the crop 10 hours
It can even be soaked to digest quickly and I often do this for young bird racing

You can buy VL base mix it’s similar but I just buy it in small bags as I only use it on return so don’t want a big bag plus base contains a lot what I have in my energy mix so I just add a few handfuls of my protein seed ( broth mix )
if you are soaking this mix would you add anything to it other than water, & how long do you leave it in water Neil.
