Yep, he's a nice youngster, that's his older brother and sister, Ronnie and Reggie, in the picture. They all go to their first race in three weeks.

The Billion Dollar Baby, she leaves good youngsters.

Ronnie is having a good chew on the veggies

Reggie looks a bit timid. She is okay, but a bit quieter than the others. She is a bit of a gentle soul.

They are looking well Murray, nice strong looking youngsters. You have them in very good health mate, well done to you.

The grizzle youngsters are very good types. Great conformation, very sensible, have made no mistakes in training and are showing true heterozygous grizzle colouring.
The Big Grizzle is grizzle, but on a sunny day you can see the blue chequer in him. The Billion Baby is a blue bar but carries the grizzle gene from Kittel. So three out of four of their young are true grizzles, one is a blue chequer. Always.
I've never had a grizzle pigeon in my shed, ever. I didn't dislike them, I just never had one. It's like horses, I like fast brown ones as much as I like fast chestnut ones
But I suspect I'm going to have a few grizzles in the shed within a couple of years.

They are cracking looking birds Muzza, their feathering looks like silk, a real credit to you my friend.

It's been a funny day, the cloud was just starting to break up when I went out this morning so I let the pigeons out for a fly. then it started drizzling and then when they were looking like dropping in there was a shower of rain.
That did it. The youngstars went Weee! and spent the rest of the day flopping about in the rain, and between showers wandering around the garden and picking rubbish out of the compost heap.
This afternoon I put some others out and the whole lot flew 45 minutes then trapped in. It will have done them no harm, they've been training hard and out and in twice a day with not much relief.
There is a brief heavy shower mid afternoon tomorrow afternoon, so I might postpone tomorrows training toss to Tuesday.

Excellent Muzza, they do love a bit of rain.
Good to see everything moving on nicely mate.
