While in Bendigo for doctor's appointments yesterday we picked up the 'new recruit'. I was expecting him to be pretty badly marked, but actually he's not too bad. He's been scalped but it looks like it was mainly on one side of the back of his head. It's healed up and he has a couple of little sticky up feathers on his head, but he's fine. In fact I suspect that when he moults he might improve a bit.
I've named him The Phantom. After The Phantom of the Opera. He's perfect in every way. Except for his head
Absolute terrific young cock. Outstanding.
Looking at him you would almost think he was still trainable. I reckon I've seen worse in the transporter. I almost think David and Adrian from the stud have used it for a reason to let us get the pigeon.
He has a box in the new loft, for sure.
