Oh, also, I forgot to say that I went to the hospital in Bendigo. After 6 YEARS my name came to the top of the waiting list for a hernia operation.
So I went along, and long story short, my bad lungs not withstanding, I am down to have a hernia operation, probably before Christmas! :o
The beautiful blond surgeon said it was up to me but it wasn't good. I had to agree :D
So my darling wife may have a very slow moving husband for Christmas!

My brother Jimmy that lives in Spain, is going in hospital next Thursday. For a hernia operation, they are going to push it back in and put a net over it. I hope all goes well for you Murray.

Thanks Devo. I had one done on the other side about 25 years ago. It's not major but i remember it hurt like hell for a few days.

It's 8.45 pm, 26 degrees outside, still and humid, and we are running about 25 million mosquitoes to the acre.
I went outside and was immediately set upon. No good.
We have some bug spray dispensers that release a 1 second burst of spray every couple of minutes. We have one going inside and I put one in the loft and one in the stock shed.
With 8 pairs either with babies or eggs, the poor buggers were being murdered. This will protect them.

We did our sort of fortnightly run to Bendigo today. Quick stop at the Medical Center to get some new prescriptions. Dr Ibrahim is from somewhere in Africa, and is the nicest bloke.

We did a lap around town, three supermarkets, big hardware barn for brass screws, Petstock for the cat food, Bush's for the sack of grit and sunflower, etc.
.
On the way home Jimmy the Commodore clicked over 300,000 kilometres. He made no fuss about it. :D He's a great old car. Wonderful.
When we got home we jumped out and went, " wow."
It was warm.
I put the heat sensor thing under a tree, 20 minutes later it was 42.5 c. The back garden faces the west and is enclosed.

I've got pigeons on babies that have the rings on and some of them are getting out of the nests. I was thinking the water might be getting warm on such a hot day. Indeed, it was blood temperature, and I flushed all the drinkers. Some of the nest bowls and newspaper in the boxes were not the very best either. I think the parents may have been pumping water into them.
So I put clean bowls and felts under all the babies and changed the paper.
I had one pair of nest babies that were squeaking, like they were hungry. As soon as I cleaned out the box the cock was pumping feed into one, and the hen was feeding the other.

Make no mistake. Pigeons despise a dirty nest box.

Good to see you both getting out and about Murray, Jimmy is doing very well. If looked after they will have a good life. A clean and tidy loft. happy birds I would say.

I've been removing a couple of trees in the back yard to open up one corner for the pigeons and let some more sunlight on the loft.
Made a hell of a mess
