Less than 48 hours after shacking my head the scalp is healing and the bruising is going.
it's sore to the touch where the lid hit. Catherine said there's a solution for that. Don't touch it.

The little blue Janssen hen I bought home fron David's is settling in. Gee it's a quality thing. Beautiful.
it was pretty flighty yesterday, but already it's got used to me being right up close to it. No pigeon is ever more than a couple of feet away from me in my small loft, and they have live with it.
I made a bowl of chopped veggies for them this morning. She had never seen that before. It wasn't long before she was having a little peck at them :D
I suspect she's related to the Trillian Baby, whose mother is a Janssen. They look almost identical. I'll have to put a marker ring on one of them
The Heremans hen 666 and the Billion Baby Bitch  have both laid again. The Baby is is not really a bitch, she's just spoilt and very clever. I think I put the new hen in the shed just as she was getting ready to lay again and she felt threatened. She was going to kill the poor little thing though. :o
Everyone is friends out there now.

I asked David if that hen is related to Trillian, they are so alike.
Same mother. I thought so.
Have to think of a name. Got a Billion Baby and a Trillian Baby who have the same father, this one has the same mother as Trillian. Something Baby.

I've got too much time on my hands.

I went out to close the loft and lock up for the night. It's about 6 pm here.
The big grizzle Thone" was in the sputnik muttering away. He's paired up to the B$B and she's just laid an egg, so I have no doubt that his home life is a misery.
Anyway, when I walked up he shut his eyes and bowed his head. Then he shut his eyes and bowed his head.
So I shut my eyes and bowed my head. He shut his eyes and bowed his head. We repeated that about ten times.
The grizzle is a beautiful pigeon. He is a bit temperamental, but so am I. :D
When I went into the loft he was his usual self, all important. But when he chomped on my finger, it was lacking any power. And I swear he winked at me.
