anything that can help the sport is a bonus
It won’t help the sport Tony. It’ll only be of real interest for those buying and selling pigeons. It won’t make any difference at all to anyone actually racing.

@worm yes you would have to use a ets again but they pretty reliable not many go wrong really nowadays and it has to be a better system then we currently have

I'd really love a full pigeon I'd system and on a life ring even better but I do get that to the average fanciers it's not as important

Although not within the chip ring the more up to date ETS systems have apps with them that you can put all this information on. The Benzing and the Bricon PAS systems certainly do.

Yeah I imagine it's works in a similar way to how my own LoftBuddy system works, admittedly mine is based on the user adding the information, but obviously it's then all attached to the life ring and can be shared when wanted.
The only downside to the ETS manufacturer doing the system is that you would be locked into their own ecosystems.
Unsure how the life rings having the ETS would work, but in theory they would need to work with all the current ETS systems, in the same way that the iPigeon clocks do. Other systems are not currently too keen to accept other systems rings under the guise of security, in reality it allows the user to purchase the cheaper suppliers!
