'Knightsdale Lady' (ring number NU 66 N 28449) dark chequer hen racing pigeon bred and raced in 1966 by Reg Churchill of Weymouth, UK. She Won six consecutive long-distance prizes from Palamos (657 miles) with the British Barcelona Club.
Open positions with the British Barcelona Club, including 1st, 6th, 10th, 15th, 17th, and 57th open. I owned a daughter of this great hen when paired to The Conqueror, rung GB 76 Z 295. The hen looked just like her dam but was a dark red, with feathered legs also. (A throwback to the Gits strain)

I have to say, there have been some great birds posted, thank you for all the photos and information. If any members have any more birds to put forward, that can only help others.

Here is the UK longest flying ever 1st Open National Winner. 'Champion Woodsider' NU64L45003 Mealy Cock. 1st Sec, 1st Open BBC Palamos 861 miles vel. 788 in 1971.
This great cock was stolen on the night of 23rd/24th Jan 1972, and the Police got involved. After a tip off some 2 years later the net was closing in and the thieves who had him released him and he returned to his loft at 9 years old. Woodsider died at the age of 17 on 5th Sep 1981 dying in his owners hands.
