It was Trillian's first ever eggs, and they were quite small. I found the shells on the floor when I went in yesterday morning. The babies were just hatched and very tiny. I was a bit anxious even though I've bred hundreds of pigeons. This morning they were all yellow and wiggly and strong.
I tied the rings to the bars on the box for them, and they are down to go to a breeder / buyer race.
Good news mate hope all goes well with them

Well, some good news and some bad news in the loft.
Bad news is, the little Melbourne hen is gone. :( I had a few of them out in the bath splashing around, and she was very keen to go out. When they had a fly, she was gone.
Gordon is gone too. I think a hawk might have got the big old bloke. He was pottering around the place, he was quite happy, then he vanished. I was, and am, quite upset about that.
Good news. Roadrunner babies, obviously. :D they are penciled in for the Horsham breeder / buyer, but that could change ;)
The wee Melbourne hen left a pair of babies. Her mate has been very good and is still feeding them, and another pair has babies the same age. So I am switching them back and forth a couple of times a day. All 4 are big and strong, and starting to stand up in the bowl. All four are blue white flights, and I got confused. Had to look up which ones belonged to who?
I've got 4 pairs all going to nest again now. Some are top secret ;) and I expect they will all lay within the next two or three days.
The way it is shaping, all the youngsters from the first two, or maybe three rounds will have lofts to go to. That might be good, because I might keep a few late breds if I think they are worth keeping. :D
That is a shame if so murray, hopefully just gone exploring there new area, good to see babies doing well
