Leon, you and your dad, have worked very hard all year to get the young birds ready. Dont let this get you both down; you need to get over the mistakes of others. But I truly understand your feelings after losing some nice young birds. So its a case of doing what you do best. Get your youngsters prepared for the next race, I am sure all will come good. You and your dad, have gave your all this year. So don't let others destroy the sport you love.

@leon it's a hard thing to say but I think you and you're father need to consider relocation into a better fed area to compete on the level you are at, and I understand home area ties and simply not wanting to change you're whole life if you love the community, for me it's a job I go where I'm getting employed but even I have chose this job to be closer to family I was offered a better loft job but chose closer to where I was raised, but Germany is so big and suffering same issues as uk with people dying or leaving the sport and the best fed areas will be kept going by people moving into them, I feel your pain but also be very proud with you're performance liberation decisions are destroying many good races you're result and returns show the quality and job you have done with them

Well said Danny, its good when we can support other members. That is going through a bad time, by other persons mistake. Not their own.

Time for a little update. Sorry for my absence the past 1 1/2 weeks but things haven't been well neither in our fed and neither privately.
The season was considered over because our fed has a claus that we dont race anymore unless 300 birds are basketed we had 265 birds. Then my club called in an emergency meeting in the fed to adjust the clause. after the meeting we adjusted the clause to the same as the german federation which is atleast 150 birds basketed. This was on friday. Basketing was supposed to be saturday for a sunday race. On basketing day our fed realized that we do not have a driver so the race and season was called off once again. On the same day in the afternoon our fed somehow convinced the other fed nearby to please transport our birds with theirs after not wanting to for weeks. So the race was on once again. It was a constant back and forth we were all really fed up with the whole situation. At the end of the day we finally basketed on sunday and had a race from 150km with just 227 birds in the fed. We won the 1,2,3rd in fed and a few other good positons about 14 birds in the top 30. We are still 1st yb champ in fed and 1st ace yb in fed.
Now its another stressful week to see how things continue. It is looking like we might not even get the 150 birds together anymore because the losses were quiet big once again last race in the fed. So we are currently trying to convince the 2 feds near us to make a TG race (Transport Group) Which would make the clause with 150 birds needed to continue racing ineffective and the price list of the FG would count towards the championships. But this is a huge task because both of those feds hate our fed so getting them all together is rough. We are trying our best to keep going and get another race going this weekend but odds are against us. My father is fed up with the whole back and forth and the on and off if a race is going to happen or not to the point where he wants to quit the season. But im trying to convince him everyday that we shouldnt throw away the 1st place for nothing. But i also understand his point of view.
As things stand right now There is a race planned this weekend for about 125 miles with the other 2 feds together about 1500 birds. But As i said odds are high that they dont want to transport together with us which would mean the end of the season.

So sad for you Leon we have had transporters changing out race point after collection and agreed lib point it's infuriating, had a terrible weekend because of it! I feel your pain I'm hoping you get lucky and get an agreement to keep you competing can't throw all that work away now mate! I'll be honest I cried this weekend I had two injured betrayed by fed and lib, and had 17 lost on the day 76th fed was our best result, I'm judged on my results but when it's out of your hands issues causing the problems it hurts all that more
