Forgive the previous post, I love the absurd, ironic, and plain funny. I forget that some people have had their sense of humour replaced.

Anyway, It was a beautiful day in sunny St Arnaud. Not a cloud and a gentle breeze. We were out the back planting vegetables and pottering around.
We bought some fresh vegetables when we were in Bendigo yesterday. Today I put some fresh curly Kale and celery and a carrot in the blender, and gave it to the birds.
Later... Today I was out planting vegetable seeds in little black pots. I wouldn't eat kale if you put a gun to my head. Spinach, not a big fan, but the birds love them.
We have a big garden so we are looking at growing a lot of fresh veggies.

It got warm here today, when we arrived home from the run to Bendigo at just after 4 o'clock the digital weather station thing said it was 32 degrees! Warm enough to strip down to a tee shirt !
I have just been on the weather bureau's site, and despite a couple of milder days and a warmer one today, the overnight lows and daytime highs are one degree below the average so far for October.
Out in the country we saw some grain crops that have been cut and will be baled for stock feed. It's just been too cold and not wet enough to push the crops on to a harvest. Sad.
Anyway, the eye lady took the plastic lens out of my eye, did an annual eye test while I was there, and sent me home with some eye drops. All okay.

Sorry that I've not kept up with the goings on down under Muzza.
That's a real shame about Gordon and the Melbourne hen, do you have any way of finding out if they've gone back to the old place ??
I'm glad everything else is going well for you, the loft and birds are looking well mate, you've done a great job.
I do need to try getting my birds to eat more veg, they do like a lettuce.
Good to see that you are keeping yourself active, I'm sure that all helps to improve your overall fitness, great to hear that your eye is doing ok too mate.

None of the birds have gone back to Bealiba and I've had no word that any have showed up in Bendigo.
I am keeping well, haven't felt so good for quite a while. Ran into a bloke in Bendigo yesterday who I haven't seen for a while. He kept saying how well I looked. Catherine was worried that I was not going to last much longer at the beginning of the year, but I think our 'holiday' in Bealiba allowed me to recover my strength. Retirement suits me
My lungs are still shot of course, but the warmer weather is a bonus.
