Dalton has been trying for several seasons without much luck, hopefully some of these will do the job for him. He's a good young bloke.
I hope he as a nice touch with them, great for youngsters in the sport.
He's very enthusiastic, and is very good with the pigeons, but he has too many. I think he'd do well to halve the number of pigeons he has so he has a better feel for each one. But it's not for me to tell him that.

The thing is Murray he should know, space times birds you can only work on. That is why you put your exstention on, to breed more because your not a racing loft.

Yea, but I don't want to appear to be some sort of saint. Far from it.
I was introduced to Dalton as someone who was frustrated by failing to do as well as he hoped. He bought a team of 10 youngsters and gave me 10 breeder's plate and gold ring bands. These are money races where the breeder and the buyer share the prize money. There is a lot of money on the Horsham races, so I was inclined to give him youngsters off the best. Mind you all of mine are "the best, or parents of the best", or stuff like that. In a smaller loft, there isn't a lot of dead wood.
So I was a bit mercenary, if I'm honest, but by the time he's picked them all up he noticed that he had about 26 or something.
I assured him that so long as he was happy that he had his money's worth, I was well pleased. :D
