Winers bread winers
Unfortunately you can’t determine anything from birds lost off the loft. You can lose them for so many reasons.Chris1978 wrote: Mon Jul 20, 2026 11:50 am I got some realy good stock pigeons bread some good young birds of a few of them but also lost a few did not think would lose you g pigeons like that get up gone so can you lose the best young just off the loft like that or must be not all good just few off that good pair pigeons??
Andy, Peter Fox only bought the best birds available. But the question was, But I'll bet nobody could name 10 good birds it's bred? So I posted what Syndicate lofts had, like king says there were 100sAndy wrote: Mon Jul 20, 2026 3:28 pmI understand what you’re saying Devo but these have been purchased by a stud. No details of what any of them have achieved or what their offspring have done. Good bit of marketing though.Devo1956 wrote: Mon Jul 20, 2026 2:30 pmI will post this King.king wrote: Mon Jul 20, 2026 2:08 pm
100% Leon. Good pigeons just are MORE LIKELY to produce good pigeons. Top stock birds like 'Drum' have bred 100s of offspring. But I'll bet nobody could name 10 good birds it's bred?
You hear of pairs breeding winners in every nest, but I never met a fancier who could back up that claim.
Ok Devo.Devo1956 wrote: Mon Jul 20, 2026 3:49 pmAndy, Peter Fox only bought the best birds available. But the question was, But I'll bet nobody could name 10 good birds it's bred? So I posted what Syndicate lofts had, like king says there were 100s
You do look at things in a completely different way than me. Not saying that’s a bad thing and you’re still a good friend
You've posted just 12 photos of birds bred from him, what about the 100s of other birds he has bred? No details of the 12 having bred anything? I recall when Drum first appeared on the market his direct young went for big money after a couple of years Eilmar had direct birds for sale nearly every week.Devo1956 wrote: Mon Jul 20, 2026 2:30 pmI will post this King.king wrote: Mon Jul 20, 2026 2:08 pm100% Leon. Specially with youngbirds if you get them going around the house and bird of prey attacks more often then not you actually loose more then 1 bird just because of the pure fear they spread everywhere and just fly in 1 direction without thinking how to get back home.
But i can most certainly tell you that winners do not automatically breed winners then the sport would also be to easy. For me there is huge differences between a good racer and a good breeder. We have 3rd ace pigeon of the state westfalia in our loft he won
3x1st on different races against an average of 3200p also won 2nd vs 14.777p 13th vs 9275p and 13th vs 10665p and many more top prizes. This bird is now 10 years old and has bred nothing.
If the stock birds you got are new and this is their first year breeding and the birds are gone i wouldnt stress it yet. But if this happens 2-3 years in a row id get gone of them.

Alot of times i see birds for sale with their description claming to be top breeders and that they have bred many winners. When i go ahead and message them about it and ask what results they have bred from the bird more often then not i get aired
alot of bs happening when it comes to claims of top breeders etc.
Mystique was a great daughter of Drum, She went on to be responsible for a dynasty of top performers. But they were so many, and yes a lot sold on Elimar.king wrote: Mon Jul 20, 2026 4:34 pmYou've posted just 12 photos of birds bred from him, what about the 100s of other birds he has bred? Andy you are right, first of all. You do not think buying birds from the top guys in the sport is for you. And that is your choice and i take your views. now i am sure if anyone was to to want information, of what the birds have done. I am sure you can get this from the owners of the birds. Yes i do think in different ways of the sport, but i dont think it hurts anyone. Its just once again other peoples views. Good luck with your young bird racing.Andy wrote: Mon Jul 20, 2026 4:12 pmOk Devo.Devo1956 wrote: Mon Jul 20, 2026 3:49 pmAndy, Peter Fox only bought the best birds available. Good to have different views. That’s what makes this sport so interesting.
No problem Leon, sometimes younger folks look in and not very nice for them, even though some probably know more than meSpieker-Loft wrote: Mon Jul 20, 2026 2:02 pmMy bad buster i wasn't aware that what i said was so bad i wont do it again mateBuster121 wrote: Mon Jul 20, 2026 12:16 pm Leon please do not use swear words, I have changed it for you
