Well, I'm very happy to say that all the hens are home safely -thank goodness and I'm very sorry and somewhat embarressed by what was an over-reaction as pointed out by Spieker- lofts.
You did all know that they would be back but I didnt.
Nonetheless, I have learn't a massive lesson about staying focused on my original plans and I will keep the 3 hens for the Pau cocks at home from now on.
I hope that minor misdemeanour of the title of the post won't stop anyone from sharing the benefit of their experience with me going forward and that I can still rely on your expert guidance.

It’s not a problem Dave. Glad you got them back ok and it wouldn’t have done them any harm. Certainly continue to ask questions. It was just a knee jerk reaction. As king says the birds are at risk every time they are put in the basket. I would go further and say that every time they are let out of the loft.
We all get bad trainers from time to time.
Onwards and upwards Dave. Hope you continue with your original plans with success.

I was actually smiling to myself when I wrote that rather tongue in cheek reply, Dave.
I was confident they'd be back, and what you did was show how committed you are to your pigeons and the sport. You were bloody upset about it, and that's understandable.
Rather than being offended I am glad you are here. We need dedicated blokes.

Again, sadly I've missed most of this topic. It's good to see that your birds all returned safely.
You keep asking your questions and we will continue to give the best advice we can.
We all started somewhere, have all made, and stil make, plenty of mistakes. We have all had varying degrees of success and all have different views experiences, and ways of doing things. The advice we give will always be sincere and the best we can, from the experiences we've had, some will work for you and some won't, it's up to you to use this advice as you will and find methods that work for you and your birds.
Often racing distance with pigeons on the natural system is full of different challenges, in most instances we only have one or two chances each season to get it right, and losing one of a pair, just loft flying is always a risk that could derail our whole season, this is all part of the sport that we have learn to live with.
Onwards and upwards Dave, all the best.

Thanks to everyone for your understanding.
The Pau candidates are going to Bicc Nort sur Erdre on Saturday along with all the yearling cocks.
I have decided to forsake all the hens for the benefit of the cocks this season and might try to get a couple of late races out of the hens with a view to giving them the priority next season.
Apologies again for the over-reaction but grateful for the important lessons learned.
