That is absolutely ridiculous mate. Then they wonder why the A & E departments overcrowded.

That's terrible. And if it's like here, when you do by some miracle see a doctor, they speak English as a second language.
We are better off here, I needed a prescription last week and got an appointment for the following day. There's two doctors at that practice, one from Africa and one from Sri Lanka. Both good doctors, but you wonder why aren't Australians studying medicine?

Murray since they merged loads of practices together we have 4 to choose from with many doctors amongst them and still impossible, the hospitals have stopped doing blood tests unless you have an appointment and they told me at one the reason is down to the influx and as they all get medical treatment as soon as they land they cannot cope with it
As you say English is a second language here as well, we stopped our training bursaries for English people many years ago yet they still fully fund for folks from other countries and this is one of the reasons not many Brits do it would you pay £1000s out your own pocket whilst your neighbour is getting the same for free because I wouldn't and then this stupid government wonders why no one interested, that's it rant over
