when I last saw them they were bunched up and heading in the direction of home. They have had about 10 tosses so they are getting the hang of it. Obviously a hawk, or hawks, have hit them.
Theres' plenty of them around here.
They are everywhere, a big hen keeps coming here hovering just above lofts and going after neighbours birds took one couple weeks ago and crows stopped other attacks thankfully crows are building nest 2 gardens away so that and the magpies not forgetting seagulls a few hawks are sent packing

I was not sure about it, so I went in and caught it. That immediately made me alert. I don't have to 'catch' my pigeons as a rule.
But it's one of mine alright. 2764. Went missing from a race last year.
The pigeon is in pretty good condition, certainly not like it has been living rough.
This is the second one to turn up like that. I am wondering, is someone around here keeping strays?

I was speaking to Phil this morning. He was telling me of someone who took their own birds plus ones from 3 other fanciers for a training tools earlier this week. They took just over 100 birds in all to around 25 miles. Between the 4 lofts nearly half are missing. Another top fancier from around here also had a smash from his trainer the same day apparently.

Yes Andy, I see Reigate topped the Wouth coast Fed race Stoney cross !! They liberated at 11am so I'm guessing that the fog had cleared by then so I could possibly have sat and waited it out !! I'll have to just decide now whether to send this weekend or not, it's only 65miles so shouldn't be a problem for those that have been raced before. I probably won't send the few late breds I have though.
Send em all you may get a surprise, they probably fly that distance when loft flying
