2 days ago my neighbour let his have a bath they was lying on top of his loft when bang a female hawk took a cock off topAndy wrote: Sat Dec 10, 2022 7:47 am Yesterday was a lovely sunny but cold day. The temperature didn’t get above 4c. The birds haven’t been out for a while and in this cold weather are certainly eating more. I decided to let them have a bit of exercise and let them out. I put the bath down also. They came out and had a good fly and a bath. They certainly didn’t seem to be bothered that the water was cold. After their bath most just laid out in the sun drying off for a while before going back into the loft.
The birds don’t seem to care

Good to see you not losing any now mate, yes strange how they prefer to bath in cold rather than warm weatherTrev wrote: Sun Dec 11, 2022 8:46 pm Only letting mine out once or twice a week at the moment, not lost anything for a few weeks![]()
My birds did enjoy a nice fly and bath in the sleety rain we had this afternoon, they seem to prefer bathing on the colder days.
