Talk about anything racing pigeon related here aslong as there isnt a section for it.

I also still need to build and put a door on the 3rd section and have a bit of a sort out and build some sort of corn bin / storage unit
I also let the stock birds pair themselves up and a pair now have 2 Y/Bs these hatch out as I was away so i have these to keep me busy watching them grow.
Cleaning out everyday due to the moult feathers everywhere
plus I have to make a start on road training these late breds as the race season is over I want to get them out on the road
Then I have my first breeding season to get ready for and I am still looking at these birds picking out the Cocks and Hens making notes I have seen that there are 2 birds that stand out when it comes to trapping there always first in to my call.
Giius a job Tony lol.
I just keep my corn in a couple of plastic dustbins outside Tony. Just wondered if that my give you a bit more room in the loft for the birds.

Absolutely fine Tony.
I have 5 dustbins outside with different grains/mixes in them. They are outside 24/7 12 months of the year
Its sometime a bit inconvenient when it's pissing down with rain but using the lids as a canopy the grains rarely get wet.
You could always build a canopy over them if you needed. They are also vermin proof.
May give you a bit more room for yer birds mate.

I'm spending all day out there at the moment, and managed to injure myself again.
Never mind, I'm like a kid in a lolly shop.
I'm pretty fragile. I was reaching down to get the feed from the bottom of the bin and sort of went forward and whacked my chest on the edge. I've broken another rib up high this time. I've got thinning bones and the inhalers for the lung disease have steriods that I reckon are making it worse.
I'm in agony this morning.

I figure that you are at peak season right now with lots going on - I'm soooo envious.
Is your injury incidental mate or have you gone and done too much?
It's the start of the peak breeding season for sure. There's babies everywhere out there :D
I took the first 10 out to Horsham on Sunday along with a box full of David's from Bendigo and 2 pairs of yearlings I sold as stock pigeons.
Some blokes are coming to pick up a heap next weekend and the hens are starting to lay again.,
It's keeping me on my toes.

Bloody ell Murray I thought you were reasonably stable during the summer months (if there is such a thing for your condition), hope its not set you back too much.
