Yes Dev, very good video.
When we first got my lad started in the sport he got pigeons from everywhere. We thought at the time how lovely the pigeon fraternity was where lads from all over the fed gave him a pair of youngsters, ot 4 or even 6 and I have to say that it was all done with the best intentions which is what you would expect from pigeon men - generous and helpful.
However, being new to everything we didn't know who any of these ppl were.
My lad won a couple of races with these birds so there is no regrets but when I took over the birds some 3 or 4 years later, and still just as naive as my lad was, it probably took me another 8years to sort them out and decide which way I wanted to go.

This is moot really, we've all started already, so If we started again we would most certainly do things different

Great video Devo, first time on for a week but good to watch this mate it looks and sounds so easy to follow I only have a small number of birds and this will be my 1st breeding season so looking forward to the pairing up of the birds and to see what the birds can do when it come to racing next season, keep the videos going mate

When I think of the mistakes I made, and then coming to Australia, having to unlearn so much and almost start again, I realise that I know a hell of a lot.
Most of it being what will bring you pain and failure. :D

Me too, but I enjoy scraping out. My breathing is awful at times, but out a scraper in my hand and away I go. I think it just relaxes me and I never think about breathing while I'm in the loft.
