Olr new in Uk
The Top fanciers have NO part in the event. They just enter birds. If I bought a YB from Mark Gilbert and entered it, Who is the person entering? Me or Mark Gilbert?
And who thinks this is good money? They take in £250,000 and pay out just £120,000 based on 200 birds. And they cream off £130,000 to run it?

Good luck to them but it will only be supported by fanciers who can afford to lose between £1,000 - £10,000 (big difference from £250 which is still a lot) and what is this OLR going to be any different from any other OLR but with only 250 birds and the losses these OLR are experiencing someone is going to be siting in clover. It will be interesting to see who these flyers will be but more than likely flyers involved with the NPA

I agree these margins are ridiculous. Me and my father been through this for years because we are planning to start on OLR aswell. And if you are not a completely greedy ***** you can fly out about 70%~ of the money and thats counting in no sponsoring for food etc if you get all of this sponsored you could fly out even more and still walk away with good money.king wrote: Sun Sep 13, 2026 1:31 pmThe Top fanciers have NO part in the event.
