Your thoughts on these wing theories.
True or false
at the moment Devo I'm still learning my trade not even got to the stage of wing type, feather type ect..... but looking forward to all the feedback on this one mate

Neither true or false. The wing of a Winner is what it is. It can't be wrong. Pigeons don't really fall into the 'correct' wing thing, simply because of constant outcrossing with fanciers bringing in new birds.
If a fancier were to build a family without bringing in birds every year, the birds wings WOULD revert to a type over time, both for sprint or distance. The sprint birds would have broad feathers, like a Pheasant and the distance birds would revert too a feather like a swallow, long and thin. But it would take several generations. Breeding like to like from birds outside the family would speed up the process.
