weather has been bad all day here so I never let the birds out today, right or wrong choice I don't know but I didn't want to loss any so will try for tomorrow but the weather reports don't look good if it's clear first thing tomorrow morning I will let them out then
what's your thoughts on this weather and letting the birds out ?
Birds 1st time out
Birds are doing a lot better now, straight out the trap and flying round they have been out ranging and returning yes to the roof but then off flying again.
I lost a bird yesterday (why is it always the nice looking birds that go missing ) I got a call of a fella from Liverpool 6 miles from me to say he had my bird so I went to pick it up earlier on great then phone number rings, birds locked in with food and water.
My question is.... should I keep this bird in for a few days or let it out flying tomorrow

Is this a bird that's been flying well or a late bred? If it's a late bred it's got an excuse. If it's been flying well at home I'd let it out. If it was my bird I'd be asking myself why did it enter a loft just 6 miles away? And I'd certainly put a black mark against it for entering a loft the SAME day it was lost.Tony-P- wrote: Tue Sep 08, 2026 3:10 pm Birds are doing a lot better now, straight out the trap and flying round they have been out ranging and returning yes to the roof but then off flying again.

Hi King, it didn't entre a loft (sorry I should have said that) a workman found it up on a roof he was working on this morning it had been out all night its a very tame bird for me he was able to pick it up and box it until I picked it up from him.king wrote: Tue Sep 08, 2026 3:20 pmIs this a bird that's been flying well or a late bred? Thanks Buster, I wasn't sure on the best way to go so I will put it in the Aviary for a few days and then let it back out with the others, I do already have a Y/B in there which only comes out the trap and on to the loft roof, back to the trap and back in the loftBuster121 wrote: Tue Sep 08, 2026 3:57 pm If was only out couple times and only just started flying would let it back out after day or two, or put it in aviary for day or two
