do you think the losses has anything to do with the Solar Eclipse tonight
with birds going missing over the last few weeks this Solar Eclipse has been working its way closer every week and tonight is the night so would this have an effect on the birds over the last few week leading up to the Eclipse and maybe for the next few weeks after tonight.
I might be talking a load of crap am no expert in Pigeons or the Stars what are your thoughts on this

Some say the same to me over last couple of weeks @tony but I don't know enough about it to make an opinion on it really my gut feeling would be that it probably impacts them in some ways but then we have 2 losses from 3 races so I don't know mate

It's all about the money i think you can work that out yourself, pigeon welfare doesn't come into it I'm afraid, yes there are good managers running a few olr should of been more proactive with trying to have good feedback with good care & return's. Unfortunately should of been stopped a long time ago jmo not good for the image of pigeon racing.
Tony I don't know if this affects pigeons but as Danny has posted over the last 2 weekends the losses have been horrendous, don't think the RPRA will look into this or even bother to get any feedback so it will continue randomly with the losses without any reason as to why.

as far as the OLR, people only put birds in if they want to it's their choice to send YBs to it and really they should always check out the lofts, management and feedback on them before sending their birds, there are plenty of very good OLR set ups.
well if the next few weekend race's improve on numbers of birds lost then I would say there would be a big shout out for the Eclipse having a lot to do with the last few weeks losses, as I say I'm no expert on the stars or pigeon just my thoughts

Why would you want to go to Chale I've never understood that financially or the dumb asses that come up with a race program for that season just mental to go there.

We get good races from there Dave especially with the 3Cs. We are going over there with the big lorry and the trailer, capacity 2,400 birds. I expect we’ll be over the 2,000, and at just 50p a bird.

I have only lost one pigeon over the last 2 races and that was a late bred from last year.

Apart from Guernsey, which I don’t send to, all our races with the 3Cs are 50p per bird Tony, and we can send old birds with the young birds.
