I feel this is a topic, that we all have different views of. And that is the way it should be, in your loft management. I could have a meeting room with 30 different flyers, maybe 10% would have the same answer.
Your loft, your birds. most of all the health of the birds is paramount.

@devo yes its interesting the difference in opinion people have on this
I agree there are many different views. Most of all the health of the birds is paramount. We would ALL agree with this statement. The difference of opinions starts with HOW this is achieved?
Some think it's by daily medication & supplements? And whilst these can play a part, I'd say NATURAL Health is the starting point.
Clean drinkers is a given, but the most overlooked thing is FRESH AIR. Start with these two and your more than half way there.

@king agree on ventilation air flow is way overlooked by a lot of new fanciers, when it comes to meds we try not to use any natural preventatives are our main aim we have around 1600 birds across 2 sites so preventing rather than having to cure is our mantra

Double edge sword we are on the coast and rural East Yorkshire great air quality but bird of prey heaven and strong winds as we are open 360 degrees to 4 miles of flat fields but it's the best location for our national birds and great for the Yorkshire middle route
