Light digestible feed for ybs depending on work load you could always make it slightly heavier say Gerry + when you start road training.
But I would certainly keep it a light mix in this weather, I wouldn't be feeding a mix with a high proportion of peas in it that take a long time to break down in the crop.

When does YB racing start in the UK?
We’ve got our last old bird race this weekend. Then a weeks break with the young bird season starting the following week. We can send old birds with the youngsters but only as trainers. I will be sending some late breds from last year along with some of the widowhood hens once paired up.
100% gerry type mix is fine anytime everything else is heavier just add bit barley to thin it more theg don't need peas at all imo even more so maples they take more to prosses than they get from them add protine powder if you want protine don't feed heavy to try give it

So starts about a week before ours does. to be honest with you i feed way heavier then that and for me it works. im on 50% mifuma relax and 50% vanrobaeys 4 season. they fly 2-3h on the house without forcing them. but 2 weeks before the first race so on the 18th i will cut it down more to get them a bit leaner for the races.
How old are the youngsters you are getting, Chris? If they are pretty small you might leave some peas in all day for a week or two while they are still growing. They'll only eat them if they are hungry.
I think the first month of a squeaker's life is where the foundation is laid.
That mix will be fine, but make sure they get a good start.
