I'm sure as fanciers we are always looking into different products, this product improves this, that one does that etc.
I was recently reading through the Nigel Cowood young bird method, and was surprised to see that he avoided the use of Garlic in any form, something that alot of people would say was a go to suppliment!
So what are your go to suppliments, and what's something you avoid at all costs?
Also if you can, try to explain what you notice when the product/suppliments are used!

I like the garlic oil from Cest Pharma & the Natura powder on my ybs this time ,give it a couple of times a week & I can see a difference.
A good product i did like was Ropa B, If your looking for cheap products, make you own from natural products.By making different teas. Eucalyptus is antiflammatory and helps relieve stress.
Peppermint soothes the airways during heat stress.

I have used garlic for many years. I think it is one of nature's gifts to the pigeon fancier.
But I use it somewhat differently to many.
To be at it's most effective, garlic must be freshly pressed. I flatten a garlic clove with the flat of a knife, put it in a bottle of lukewarm water for a couple of hours, strain it out and add a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar. Diluted to 6 litres of water, that is given to the pigeons.
You might thing that is very dilute, but I've had a drink of it after 12 hours and you can feel the burn on your tongue.
I think this is where some people have had bad experiences with garlic. It is very pungent, and gets stronger after some hours in the drinker. Some have used it in too strong a solution, the pigeons will not drink it and all sorts of problems occur. Mostly dehydration.
Now, garlic has been shown to kill pigeon canker trichomonads and other organisms at very weak solutions. Like parts per million, PPM.
I recommend FRESH garlic and organic apple cider vinegar. But in a very diluted solution.
I do not treat my pigeons with medications because they don't get sick. That's the best recommendation I can give it.

What would you say the difference is that you see?CHARLTON34 wrote: Thu Jul 09, 2026 9:18 am I like the garlic oil from Cest Pharma & the Natura powder on my ybs this time ,give it a couple of times a week & I can see a difference.
That's again some very good advice! Sometimes we see people say they give this or that, but rarely do people share how they actually use them!Murray wrote: Thu Jul 09, 2026 10:34 am I have used garlic for many years. I think it is one of nature's gifts to the pigeon fancier.

The Natura powder I'm sure has Lucifer's plant extract in them which is beneficial to the pigeons gut.
