I always used to think it was nonsense, but so many of my better ones have come from love matches. I’ve let race bird chose their own mates for several year now, I’m trying to think of a way to let the breeders do the same, as I like to pair the differently every year.

All my best pairs picked each other the amount of times I try n be smart pairing them myself I don't get top racers .

I think Alf Baker to some extent, was a believer in love matches, so it's not really anything new.
