Anybody got underfloor heating in their lofts?

Don't believe in any off it ,,
Think a pigeon must fill the winter the harder the better then when spring comes n birds start singing they start coming in to a form the right time of Yr,,
Iv seen all these things over years in lofts in kennels in stables but none of it matters

Years ago kids got muddy played in rain cold out any weather ,kids were very rarely unwell now days mum's keep em clean all day wipe them with baby wipes there never out playing and there all ways unwell,,
My opinion the harder ya reared and kept the tougher and more resilience you have ,,tough and strict up bringing the better you become ,,
Underfloor heating is like putting silk pajamas on the pigeons ffs .

I like the idea of the loft floor being bone dry

That was my thinking too. A dry floor. Not to warm the loft. My loft is very open, you need a coat on in cold weather. A heated floor, heated just enough to keep it bone dry.

A damp floor is no go for me Anthony quicker it dries the better
I’m not talking about having a heater for the shed warmth I don’t believe that but a gentle heat to dry the floor
The temp wouldnt change if open like a loft should be during the winter
You could be in house with under floor heating take the windows out and it would still be cold tonight

My brother inlaw as zero heating in he's house he built just heating underfloors it's like a oven in there ,I understand damp floor but a bird that goes of colour because the floor got damp ain't gonna be any good ,,in spring n summer all lofts are bone dry ,,look at all Baker old loft with the snow blowing in in winter ,,
I just don't believe in moddy cottling animals pal.

I don’t care about cold Anthony I like it
For the birds does them good

If you take the windows out your brother in laws house like I said it wouldn’t be a oven be cold if left on a low heat just a gentle heat your lose the heat instantly anyway

Damps no good for birds in my view we got to disagree on it

I don't like damp Neil, my lofts are 18 inch of ground and it's damp area here real bad but lofts are dry on them awful damp days I just mix silver sand n dermestrus earth powder together put a bit in each corner of section it seems to make loft floor bone dry ,,but underfloor heating is hot and warmth I'm against in lofts .

I'm a big fan of birds being exposed to the elements in the cold depths of winter

Come racing though its all about form and condition, and I've been in many 1st National winning lofts where there's been underfloor heating used

Now you might say "Did that make them win?"

I dunno - But I'll reply by asking "What harm did it do them by winning 1st National?"

I understand Mike but there's lofts without heating in middle of fields or olotments winning plenty
20 plus years ago hears about magnetic kennel therapy for greyhounds I invested in one ,used it to the dot 2x aday pre work out and after workout ,had great season following Yr i was two busy didn't use it once ,,the out come was
Magnetic therapy through season 89 kills
No magnetic therapy 87 kills so basically wasted 2 hours aday for nothing the whole winter long it done no harm but never helped either pal.

I quite agree with what you're saying - there's many different roads and health regimes that lead to the winners table

All I was saying was I've seen it be successful, and if I had another loft and I had opportunity to have it installed then I would (personally).

If money was no object I have it before the pigeons Mike lol.
