That's a staggering amount of member from China, but then it is a big country. I wonder what percentage is younger. Is it the prize money winning drawing people in, or have they just got a better way/ system with the structure in that Country.
Romania must have a large membership, also with a lot of Romanians living in the UK racing, I might be wrong but is there a lot racing in & around the London area, thought there was a club that had a fair few member's, I might be wrong.

In 2022 Romania had 12,000 members.

The size of a country has no bearing on the size of membership. France has only 8,419 members. Most fanciers live in Northern France. Germany has 23,067 members. RPRA has only 15,500 now.

R.P.R.A. 15.500 but we also have N.E.H.U, W.H.U. N.W.H.U. and S.H.U.

NEHU has 3,364 members. Don't have any numbers for WHU, NWHU or SU. But would guess all are below 5,000

I thought it was the Harrow club Neil, I can remember seeing a race results sheet going back a few year's & Romanian fancier's in the results for that club.

I like Franks videos and had a chat with him at Blackpool last year and he seems a nice chap, but some of the things he says I think come and race over here and you might have a change of mind in a few things.

I like Franks videos and had a chat with him at Blackpool last year and he seems a nice chap, but some of the things he says I think come and race over here and you might have a change of mind in a few things.

Frank has been massively helpful to me in getting re-established. I couldn’t find anyone I knew from the 70’s and he was the most prominent poster on YouTube so I reached out to him, not really expecting a response. He came back to me within the hour, told me to not waste my money buying birds from him and importing and instead put me in touch with a UK fancier who he’d known about 40 years. That guy he put me onto (a successful UK flyer) has been brilliant in the way he’s helped me and didn’t need to be.

I eventually met a few guys who I used to be my local club when I was a kid. Still winning most weeks just as they did back in the day. Frank McLaughlin’s name came up in a random conversation I had with them and I mention how he’d helped me. Now, take what I say here with as big a pinch of salt as you want, but this old guy said to me that he thought Frank was in his opinion one of the most knowledgable pigeon fanciers in the world. Now, the guy in question was certainly no slouch when it comes to winning stuff so that response surprised me.

I’ve no idea as to whether he’d win over here like he does there or not, but he’s one hell of a decent guy - and following his methods has resulted in me picking up a lot more cards than I ever anticipated I would so I have to call it as I’ve experienced it and say so far so good. The one thing I sense I have to learn more about and change is the feeding, but let’s see.

Leave barley in 24/7 and feed in with a measure of protein/ fats or the mix he recommends

You guys will know more about what this is called than me, but I’m thinking the celibate cocks and hens / roundabout system is it? Where they get together after they return from a race but split all week and no ‘showing’ before hand.

I feed once a day as per the system. It’s hard for me to say whether it’s good or bad at this stage. It’s my first year and I had young birds racing on natural with months between them, some from distance stock and some from sprint. As you can imagine, whilst I had some pretty good results, I wasn’t having 20-30 birds on the the drop. Where I messed up big time was no build up of fats where they were coming into a cold headwind or having to find their way back having been split from the main group for whatever reason.
