Probably the width of the fed and more head winds in your Peterborough fed not helping

I think the size is 1 part but I think the A1 is problem when you race on coast the north rd birds come lovely when ya on A1 there all directions I really think all the feds going up n down a1 is problem but the peregrines from wetherby to Grantham smash the life out the birds Worksop is shocking 4 returned hawk from 1 race .

Lost my triple fed winner at Wetherby got to be wired or peregrine i believe

I had 7 in 11 min of the 17 I sent so not easy but no where near a hard day when he wasn’t there 15 min later I new I wouldn’t see him again ,
Grantham is just carnage 70 per cent of the time
I try my best not to send there
I rather go Newark
Retford another
I had 4 lost and 8 attacked in the shed by mid May last year so I stopped racing to ybs I just couldn’t put up with it

Did you try Harlow club Brian Hawes club can't see them refusing any one when I lived in Lakenheath I could race in Brian's club think he's club is fed radius unless it's changed since 2018 but sure you get in there Neil.

Mark bullard club linsey Street Davy hunt is in that club he's further than you pal you could try marks club as well if ya stuck ,I know you love north rd racing and training be difficult for babys but competition level be at top standard you win them clubs and fed its brilliant top flyers up to 3000 birds and Channel races and combine races as well.

There’s only 2 or 3 send in there and they don’t fly every week mate
I looked at the inter county results and you can’t be guaranteed a race it looks
Don’t they mark at a house ?

Marc at garages behind Brian's but they race most weeks nick Hawes races most weeks but any club as two marc birds I know there's only few members but you beat Brian or nick ya flying well ,,

If it wasn’t for the nrcc and the hope this fed does open just to get more birds I was just thinking of asking mark could I just send trainers for say 5 old bird races then just fly shorter French races in nationals and trainers again for ybs
Then Christina the new nrcc sec said why don’t you have a go at this so I thought very little chance of winning it from the race distances i like but least I can race for section and see how I go against the other sections like Essex
It gave me a interest

How do I race ybs though mate I ain’t get home to 5 at best then within 15 miles i I am sat on the m25 each night why the ones not working are all done for the day
Here I can be in Royston 30 mins
If I went south it wouldn’t be to sprint as the feds to wide so I would just go for French races so I wouldn’t need to train babies daily
Hopefully this proposal to open up ours goes through to take in Dagenham area will make this better you can’t have a fed 15 miles wide these days just not enough pigeon blokes about

I understand but lot of local lads really sprint well on different winds ,I use two train each evening crossing Dartford toll am n pm doing 128 Miles aday to get 2 x 16 mile tosses in I had two yb racing other wise I get beat easy but my energy was a lot more back then ,,i think tho when ya fly up against them flyers it's different,,the north rd fed put the 5 bird limit on it because of Brian Hawes no other reason he smashed it two bits so they put limit on it ,lindsey Street club was formed because Brian Hawes being so good ,,Mark bullard said a batch would go over he's house 3 mins later he start getting birds , but iv watched mark and think he's not only good at distance he's very good now at sprint racing he's really sorted he's sprint game out ,,
You must admit its sickening to see how the north rd as gone down south last 10 years ,,remember 6000 birds in amal now its 1000 birds ,,its same here on South mnfc fantastic but fed as gone from 11 clubs to 3 clubs ,only good thing is 1 club as 5 different national winning lofts in one club and most members are on there game each week that's only good thing .

Old birds ain't trouble 4,6 tosses there ready if there flying well at home yb racing different ball game I know it takes nick Hawes 1hr 45 to get 32 mile toss in after work .

There can be some horrible journeys to train

Below is the Ards Pennisular and Strangford Lough

So, on a good day they drive 10 min, get the Ferry over the Lough, then carry on down the lanes to the training spot. Prob 70 min for 18 ml toss (to get there)

If they can't get on the Ferry then they have to travel round the Lough by car - that's then over 2 hrs for an 18 ml toss just to get there

To train north here at 5am or earlier on north is 2 hours driving for 21 mile toss if they had a fly over ,across the wash take 20 odd minutes but two drive around its a night mare.

I feed my hens 30-40 percent barley Pete
But the rest contains fats and some carbs they like more
I have had birds flying great on just barley and probably for 100 mile easy races there fine like Mike said
I know his system but I don’t think I would really trust it for a old bird season
As it’s very low in fat / protein other than the day before they go and the day they come home
It might work for you and I hope it does I can just see a head wind at 200 miles leaving you off the pace with it even with the one day he loads them up
Plus you got to look at the level of competition
Maybe when he races or if he races in his new area it will show us more

That’s a shame as that Peterborough is a massive radius sending a good number of pigeons like the inter counties and I know how keen your were when you got in it
Will you get up for your new fed with the 3 clubs in it or do you think your get bored to the MNFC starts
Only the lower birds sent these last 2 years in mine has definitely took the edge off it

Yes Neil can't lay in bed the Wisbech club is full of top flyers most would be top prize winners in other clubs ,,result most week first 30 positions are gone in a min or less in that club but definitely mnfc the feeling when u clock is different feeling, iv been super close many times in mnfc n won combined averages that was great achievement as well, I love mnfc pal.
