I would like to use Cina 30CH for Deworming, As recommended by some, but I would like be sure about using it molting season, As it might create fret marks on Feathers, Your valuable opinion helps alot.
My birds are little bit lethargic, Not active as usual, I have taken out last feathers to complete the molt. Because here we race in January, They locked up now for 1 month. I saw some Roundworms in one of the dropping, I don't want to use moxi or Moxivet Plus from Vetafarm,
Kindly advice how I should proceed.
What are your opinion
Thank you

Thank you.Andy wrote: Tue Sep 02, 2025 6:51 pm Hi. I wouldn’t have thought that Homeopathy would harm them but I don’t treat for anything so others will probably be able to give better advice. Nice to see you on here though. Welcome to the site.

Hi M.O.N. where abouts are you - racing in January?
You are obviously already aware of the damage caused by worming during the moult.
I can't answer your question because I don't know what is in your homeopathic remedy.
Can you make a comparison with the ingredients of your remedy and a standard wormer - if there is anything thr same I would be cautious.
I was once told I could use a well known dog wormer
(a quarter of a tablet) while they were on their last few flights and when they grew back some had 1.5cm
'tabs' on the end of those flights - I thought great, they will fly faster
but the quill turned at about 30 degrees and impeded flying so I cut them off.
Good luck my friend - let us know how it turns out and if it works - bottle it and flog it

He's from India Dave. Cina 30 is used for Deworming in Cows, Buffalos, Goats & Sheep. Would I use it on pigeons NO. Since it's not made for them, any dose would be a guess. And when you consider the size of the animals it is intended for that dose is going to be a very small one? seems popular in the far East, after reading the bottle, we in the West would probably call it 'snake oil'

Ha- ha - is that what the medicine man sold in the old wild west.
I'm surprised Kier Starmer hasn't picked up on that stuff as a mandatory cure-all for grumpy teenagers.
I would have thought they could've been a bit more specific about its uses
Good luck with that M.O.N. think I'd rather suffer a few roundworm and worm them properly after the moult.
