Whats the best nest position for a cock flying 670 miles
I am thinking of pairing up now for to fly bicc Pau.
Cocks have been on w.hood up to now to get them fit. I was gonna have the hens on roundabout but couldnt get them going.
So, I was thinking of pairing up now so the cocks will have big youngsters in the nest and starting to look at their hens again.
As always I would appreciate your views and any other ideas.
Best nest position.
What will be their final lead up race before Pau, Dave?
I see your thinking there, it might depend on how long a break between races.

Thanks for the reply worm, nah, theres nothibg underlying mate. I wanted to have a go at roundabout but had a few things with my new set up that I didnt think about and by the time I realised, it was too late to change anything so just decided to keep going with the cocks.

Cheers Dev - did I detect a bit of an aussie accent in your post.

So l, if I did pair up now, do you think 7 weeks would be enough time to get the hens fit enough for 600 miles?
Ha Ha Dave, I may have picked abit aussie lingo while over there. Well a friend of mine would take his distance birds, along with some sandwiches and a flask of coffee. He would take them 50 miles from home, and single them up every 30 minutes. That was the only way he trained, and he done very well at distance racing. You know your birds best Dave, so something to thing about. Good luck with the plan you choose Dave.

Thanks Dev, how often would he have done that.
A couple of times in the week Dave, he would have his plans for different races coming up. He raced the Dutch Janssens and did very well.
