This topic started of for other members to get involved on their thoughts, not for it to be a point scoring match. New members and young people, looking in want to be able to get good advice to help them in the sport.

Nobody is speaking down to anyone as far as I can see and yes you have got a brilliant record but people are allowed to do there own thing and say and feel what they want without making it look like personal attacks

And that is how it should be, helping everyone and anyone, end of day we all wish to achieve and do better, some friendly banter comes over as a personal attack on someone elses ways and is not nice at all

We have a real ace fancier in Mike on here happy to give advice for free
None of us have won what he has so trying to compare results would be daft we are just not in his league so why try to make out we are let your pride go and read his advice
Why not make use of him like Dave said in earlier post it’s a great way to learn even if you had pigeons years but got stuck in a rut or new to it

If your lazy or finding a reason to avoid training or chores because next doors dogs ill he won’t help you he has no time for that so your wasting your time asking

He had me training every night for 10-12 weeks last summer after a hard days work I prayed for rain somedays but he said put the effort in and your get rewards it’s only a few weeks
I did get the rewards and I don’t have super modern pigeons that cost a fortune

What you need to understand with Mike is he wants to win races he isn’t giving advice to get a bird to 10 years old and thinking it’s a achievement when in his world it should be gone years ago and I can agree , he doesn’t see why that bird has a perch there not pets
I have learnt to be strict if they don’t score 2 or 3 times in the feds top 3 percent by the end of the yearling stage they go as there here to sprint not to mature for 500 miles so they have to win breeders the same
Now Andy didn’t listen when Mike told him how to improve ybs by little training flights so he has 12 cocks how many have scored in the top 3per cent of the fed at the end of the yearling stage 3 times ? Would they be in Mikes loft would the ybs not have been trained so there like arrows or was they left to be pulled all over the place in a Saturday
That’s surely advice worth taking

Two things there I know will frustrate Mike as to him there such obvious things to do plus it would improved Andy’s team by making room


The last thing this site needs is to Mike to say stuff it as let’s be honest it wasn’t the most active site before

Make use of him where can you get a real ace to help you for free let’s not think we are equal or better than him as none of us sprint like he did

The site was quiet but active not like some that went to the wall and most go quiet in the off season

I agree Neil as I did say but he nobody should judge anybody as at the end of the day there choice, Mike does give great advice and he has achieved great things and as far as I can see no-one is thinking or saying they are equal or better end of day we are all same but different, this is my last comment on this topic

Well there is not much more i can say Neil, people have a choice of what they do in the sport. Like I have said, no one is questioning the racing and breeding of Mike records, and his ability to give good advice.

I didn’t say not have a choice Devo I wouldn’t dream of saying that
I will say when a top fancier gives free genuine advice it’s best to listen and not make out that your his equal when clearly there’s a few leagues difference

Neil no-one can take anything away from Mikes achievements but one has to remember they were years ago and under different racing conditions, that is not saying he couldn't do it today as for being equal we are all equal and just because of his achievements it does not make him better than anyone else so please stop painting him out to be, all your posts about Mike are praising him putting him on a pedestal and making out he is better than anyone when the only difference is he had yes had better birds, WE ARE ALL EQUALS now let it end please
