Good to see members joining AndyAndy wrote: Fri Dec 20, 2024 7:56 am No young members, but we have had another 3 members join our club this year. We now have 18 flying members in our club. It’s a shame when no one wants the secretary job or the club gets too small. I have been secretary in 2 different clubs. It is far easier now than it used to be with modern technology. Used to take hours on a Sunday filling out results and sending them off to feds and combines. Having to then post them first thing Monday morning. Now it’s just the push of a button on Saturday night. Job done.

Our club is quite lucky. Late 30s is the youngest but another 3 are early 40s.

I'll say about 10 members & I'm the youngest @ 66, think in the end probably a lot of clubs will have to join up to form a bigger club, that's going to be the reality for us all. I can't see many if at all younger people joining & taking the hobby up, think they'd rather spend all the time on mobile phone, play station etc, what a life this generation are living, how I wish we could go back to the 70's/80's great times back then.
